What is a roller banner?
It is a self-standing display with a fully retractable graphic that rolls back into a base which makes it easy to carry and store. Each banner comes in a variety of sizes which can be pulled out of their spring loaded-base and attach to a pole. Roller banners are very compact and lightweight making easy work of setting up for ad campaigns or exhibitions and trade shows.
Another name for Roller Banners are roll up banners, pull up banners, pop-up banners or retractable banner stands.
Setting up and dismantling a roller banner
One person can set up one up in less than 30 seconds without any tools following these 5 simple steps. Please note the important advice below before you get started.
· Always insert the pole into the base firmly making sure it is fully inserted into the base if this is not done the banner will be unstable. Once in place pull out the graphic panel and hook it onto the pole. Do not use the pole to push the panel up as this will result in the pole bending and make it difficult to insert into the base.
· Tilt the pole towards you when drawing up the panel if you cannot reach the top to attach the panel
· You may require two people to set up stands larger than 1.5m
- Take the banner out of the case and turn the swing-out feet 90 degrees to stabilise the stand.
- Depending on the roller banner you purchase, you will find the pole separated into parts and stored either in the base or in a separate compartment of the carry bag. Take out the pole and remove the packaging. Slot the sections together to make one pole.
- Push the pole into the hole at the back of the base making sure it is inserted all the way through to the locator at the bottom. There are two types – a grey plastic holder or an indent in the aluminium casing. To avoid an unstable roller banner, ensure the pole is fully secure.
- While standing at the back of the banner gently pull the metal header bar up which is attached to the graphics panel out of the base drawing it up to the top of the pole. Do not let it go until it is attached to the pole. Tilt it towards you if you cannot reach.
- Once you have pulled the graphic panel out, hook it onto the top of the pole. There are two different attachments - The Budget stand uses a black plastic hook attachment which slots into the channel in the header bar. The Standard stand has a slot in the header bar that hooks onto the top of the pole.
The roller banner is now ready to use. To put the banner away simply unhook the panel from the pole and gently ease it back into the base careful or this will damage the panel.
