Get ready for your next Exhibition with our top tips.

Exhibiting at a trade show is an excellent way to get your business' name and products out into the world. However, it can also be a daunting task.

There are many things that you need to consider before you choose which trade show to exhibit at - from the location, size and cost of the event, how many other exhibitors will be there, what your competitors are doing and whether or not it is worth attending.

This article will help you prepare for exhibiting at a trade show and give you tips for success.

Get Organise

Trade shows are an excellent chance to show your brand off and nab some new business, but they can also be a very important networking opportunity.

At least a month before the event, gather information like the schedule of events, other exhibitors and the number of attendees. Once you have a better understanding of the event detail, you’ll know where to focus your attention. You can get the right numbers for your printed items and can start to think about stand design and product showcasing.

Top tip: Reach out to someone who has been to an exhibition before and ask for their advice.

Get your Stall right

As you plan for your next exhibition, make sure you have a clear understanding of its purpose - are you introducing a new product range or service? Advertising to new customers? Looking to make business connections?

You have limited space in and around your stand so make sure you showcase different products or services that compliment each other. Make sure you have plenty Business cards, Postcards and Flyer printing for passers-by partway through the day. You do not want to run out!

Top tip: If you have a small exhibition stand, focus on your bestselling products only. You can have a printed brochure with all your other products to hand out.

Stand out for all the rest

It is so important to make an impact on your audience that draws them to your stand. You could use bright and bold display boards such as Roller banners just outside your stand to catch peoples eyes as they walk around.

If you want to go all out, then you can cover your walls with statement Posters, use PVC panels to decorate or Self-Adhesive Vinyl. You have a blank canvas so make sure you make the most of it whether you go for a simplistic design or bold and bright!

Top tip: Get the sizing of your exhibition stand, you can make out the dimensions at home which can be really helpful as a practice run before the event.

Make it Memorable

Want to catch peoples eye? Consider luxury finishes such as Spot UV, Foiling or Die cut shapes. You’re probably going to be up against some stiff competition, so try some twists on classic print techniques to give yourself the edge. You could have your leaflets folded an unusual way , go for luxury Perfect Bound Brochures printing or perhaps make your Business Cards magnetic to really showcase something different from other exhibitors. Customer sticker printing is a fund was to add branding or small amounts of info to each product.

Top tip: Add some decorations to your space such as shelving, ornaments, plants this can add a more personal and inviting touch.

Get Promoting

Get people to the event you are at by promoting it on social media, newsletters, email marketing, add flyers to orders with the details or add a poster in store to let them know where and when to be there. If the exhibition is advertising on social media as well then they will probably be more than happy to repost about your business too.

Top tip: Having something to give out is crucial, this could be the classic flyers, brochure or leaflet or a look book, pin badge, Postcard or even a Branded Notebook. You could have a branded envelope printing which has a few items in it or a printed Folder.
