A simple guide to Belly Band Design

When it comes to print, adding an extra finishing touch can make all the difference from Invitations to Wedding Stationery and even Notebooks and Calendars can benefit from them.

A belly band is a simple way to make your print materials stand out. It’s the perfect way to introduce your product or service and it’s an inexpensive way to get the word out about your business.

A belly band is a strip of paper that wraps around the outside of a printed product, typically used for brochures. The belly band can also be used as an enclosure for items such as leaflets, posters and leaflets Glasgow. The design of the band can vary from very simple to elaborate with many options in between. A simple design will have only one colour and will be printed on one side only, with no other printing on it whatsoever. This type of design is perfect for those who are looking for something quick and cost effective but still want their products to stand out.

Top Tips

To make sure your printed belly band will fit your product, you'll first want to measure the width of your product. Belly Band will always need to overlap in some way, so make sure to apply a Fringe stickers, sticky dot or wax on overlapping pieces before closing the band around your product. We recommend having at least a 25mm overlap. To figure out the size your product will need so it can be secured with the band, take its dimensions and multiply them by two. You can also use a belly band to create a collar or sleeve around a a stack of Business Cards, thick Notebook, Greetings Cards sets or Postcards, you need to know how wide and the depth to make sure you get the right size.

How to fold and secure my Belly Bands?

We supply our Belly Bands flat without creasing them, as we don’t know what you’ll be intending to use yours for. We print the Belly Bands on different lightweight paper stocks, so you can folding them around your product yourself. If you want these to be neat and precise, you can use a pair of scissors to score the folds. To join your belly band together there are a few options. For an invisible seal use a sticky dot on the back of the belly band to secure or use a wax seal or custom sticker with a thank you message or your logo on it to stick them together.

We have some set sizes on our website but can create Bespoke sizes to suit your product. We can also add custom finishes like Foiling and spot uv varnish for that extra special finish.
